The Muslim population around the world is 23% and to no surprise the Muslim fashion industry has expanded and increases magnificently in the recent era. Comparing with the past 5 years, Muslim personalities have come in frontiers all over the globe. These Muslim figures include athletes, pop-stars, fashion designers and many more from different backgrounds and occupations.

The presence of decently and modestly dressed public entities has made the world motivated towards them. One of the leading examples is of a Muslim American sabre fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad, who won the Olympics wearing a hijab which made her name to be renowned in the world history. The universe has also witnessed the pleasure of listening the ear soothing sound of Yuna’s music that is Muslim Malaysian pop-star. Her creation of an avalanche of support back home after she shared the stage with the world famous artist Usher for her duet. One more famous personality from Egypt to remember is Dina Tokio, a world famous YouTuber who had participated in You Tuber’s ‘Made for you ‘campaign along with the other YouTube content creators last year.

Local progress has also been in spotlight in recent times due to the Malaysian fashion industry which is alone proving to be a thriving member all over the globe in Muslim fashion industry. It is accelerating the Halal Trade and economy by releasing heaps of clothing lines and hijab. Many of the Malaysian players have come in existence in dealing in Muslim fashion, fragrances and clothing. In 2014, Neelofa a Malaysian actress, business woman and host showed her craziness with launching her Hijab and fashion line as Nelofar Hijab which turned out to be successful.

Dolce & Gabbana, an international brand which has also participated and taken initiative to attract their Muslim consumers specially from the Middle east by coming out with an abaya range . H&M a worldwide acknowledged brand also included a hijabi model Mariah Idrissi in their advertisement campaign that featured the hijab as class of cool and composure in their 30 second advertisement. Uniqlo is another international fashion brand which is adding to the Muslim fashion community. The release of Japanese brand in collaboration with Hana Tajima turned out to be the most elegant and modest earthy-toned line which was a huge success which attracted the both Muslims as well as Non-Muslims.

One of the eye catching factors is the fashion shows organised by Muslim fashion industry to highlight the Muslim designers all around the world. One of the best examples is Istanbul Fashion week which put forth many new designs from different designers.

Looking at all these successes it doesn't seem like there is any speed breakers in the development of Muslim fashion industry.

This year the Halal Expo Fair Trade Show Dubai 2017 is expected to have around 5,000 visitors and around 40 exhibitors on the 18th and 19th of September in Dubai at Roda Al Bustan , Airport Road – Dubai – U.A.E.
